Perform builds on Report and Design tools, with the addition of a simulation component, connect to consoles with DMX and Art-Net over Ethernet protocols. Wysiwyg Perform is an end-to-end, comprehensive, all-in-one solution.
Built on top of Report and Design, Perform includes CAD tools, library, paperwork, 3D real-time visualization and allows connectivity to third party controllers through DMX , sACN, Art-Net, CITP, Lasers and Motion control over Ethernet protocols.
CAST’s own AutoFocus™ provides 2-way console communication, sending fixture data to a lighting console and back (only available with consoles that supports AutoFocus™).
CAST’s own AutoPatch™ transfers patch information from your plot to a lighting console (only available with consoles that supports AutoPatch™).
Program and playback complex lighting sequences from your Lighting Consoles and other controllers. Use standard protocols to visualize the exact effect of the consoles’/controllers’ output in real-time.
Features and Improvements:
AutoUpdate allows wysiwyg to automatically check for and install patches and fixes whenever available. Major releases like the upcoming R45 will still need to be downloaded.
R44 delivers a long-requested feature: a small but powerful change, you can now insert 2D & 3D Objects (including LED Walls and Screens) from any corner or logical points. With the size-defined object on the cursor, simply right-click to select a different insertion point.
Surfaces and other 3D primitives can now be textured with a Normal Map image to create the illusion of a textured surface (bumps, ridges, valleys, etc.), which interacts correctly with light to add realism in Shaded View.
Any light emitting object can now display a glow effect in Shaded View, providing greater realism and aesthetics when simulating objects such as LED ropes, light boxes, etc.
Ground Smoke’s edge sharpness is now controllable, giving it a more realistic look and allowing it to be less (or more) defined based on the user’s preference.
With the appropriate hardware, the Shaded View may now be exported in greater and finer detail resulting in higher-fidelity images.
To speed up workflow and aid with visual placement and labeling, R44 fulfills another long-standing request from our users since Rigging Points were added to wysiwyg.
This new Quick Tool allows you to rename and update Rigging Points’ parameters by prefilling the information once and simply clicking on them to apply, the same as when using the Quick Fixture Tool.
There are new accessories, gels and gobos, truss, library objects, as well as some corrections and updates for older fixtures.
